Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I am very thankful for so many things. It’s been a good year.
I’m taking some time off this week. To be honest, I’m trying to take time off. I’m really bad at it. Anyway, I’m in Florida at the beach. The beach has always been my happy place. The ocean, sun, and sand has always given me peace. I feel more centered at the beach. I love the sound of the waves, the feel of the breeze, the warmth of the sun, the smell of saltwater. I always feel more positive, hopeful, and myself here.
I plan to rest and regroup after the crazy year I’ve had. I hope to get at least a couple of full nights’ sleep, which has been a challenge lately. But I also think this week would be a good time to do some strategic planning for the business. I think I’d be in a good head space to think positively and confidently about the future. After all, my ultimate goal is to live here at least part time as soon as I can afford it. That means this little business I started can’t stay little. I need it to grow and I need to grow with it. I can’t let fear or insecurity hold me back.
So, I will work this week but it should be fun and exciting. After all, I’m in my happy place.
